It was just a middle-school tennis match against a manifestly worse player, but I became overwhelmed with anxiety. Before we’d started, the most important thing was to win. But during the match, I just wanted to get off the court fast.
Teach kids at a young age how to handle change and the anxieties thereof and you give a gift for their lifetime. Don’t teach them and they end up on my blue couch as adults. The choice is yours…
